NIRF – National Institutional Ranking Framework

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a methodology adopted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to rank institutions of higher education across the country. S.V.E.T. College participates in NIRF and is committed to excellence in all areas assessed by the framework.

About NIRF

Launched in 2015, NIRF provides a framework for ranking colleges and universities in India. The ranking helps students, parents, and stakeholders make informed decisions and encourages institutions to improve their performance. The framework is based on objective, verifiable data submitted by institutions and validated through third-party sources.

NIRF Ranking Parameters

Institutions are evaluated on five main parameters, each with a specific weightage:

Teaching, Learning & Resources (30%) Student strength, faculty-student ratio, faculty qualifications, library and lab facilities, sports and extracurricular activities
Research & Professional Practice (30%) Publications, citations, patents, IPR, projects and professional practice
Graduation Outcomes (20%) Placement, higher studies, examination results, median salary, PhD graduates
Outreach & Inclusivity (10%) Regional and gender diversity, support for disadvantaged students, facilities for differently abled
Perception (10%) Peer and employer ratings, application-to-seat ratio
